    VICKABB responded I don't know for sure if it is the plaquenil or other meds but my rheumy seems to have my inflammation/stiffness under pretty good control. Been taking plaquenil and arava for about a year. Just rediced plaquenil from one tablet twice a day to one tablet once a day. I have been on Plaquenil for years. It has not helped me with fatigue. Things like vitamins and exercise might assist with decreasing the fatigue level. I have been on 2 Dmards and a biologic for the longest time. I also take Tramadol for pain and now Indomethicin has been added to the mix to help with stiffness. Plaquenil or hydroxychloroquine has been known to cause a darkened discoloration of skin and/or mucous membranes. This is considered an adverse reaction and should be discussed with your prescriber. It is important to evaluate this color change to make sure there is nothing else wrong.
